A friend of a friend recently had a baby....here are the Softies blankets I made for her.

Not gonna lie...went a little nuts again in the fabric store this afternoon. Whoops! It was all at 50-70% off, so that makes up for it, right? Haha! DD wanted some pjs for her dolls and the rest is for the big craft sale coming up in November. This weekend the sewing machine and I will become besties again. Good times, good times!

Well, I took a little long break from sewing and crafting. Packed up my craft room at the end of February and swapped rooms with DD. Painting and redecorating ate up most of my time this spring, but now she has a pink princess room. Still a few minor things to work on like pillows and wall decor, but it's mostly done and she loves it - that's the most important part.
I've done a few custom orders here and there some of my wonderful customers, but now that it's summer, it's a perfect time to think about Christmas. Right? :)
September is already looking busy. I'm president for DD's playschool this fall and continuing on as treasurer for the playground fundraising group for her new school (she'll start Kindergarden in Sept 2013 - yikes! Mama Shak isn't ready for that yet). So I'm sure there will be less hours to focus on crafting, but socializing is always fun! And I've met some amazing new friends through both of these groups, so I can't complain :)
Watch for some new items, along with old favourites to be appearing soon. And I'm in the works for joining a well-known craft show this November as well - exciting! :)
The Craft Shak will be on location this Saturday, January 21 from 10am-3pm at West Edmonton Playschool's Valentine's Gift Show. Located at Lynnwood Hall (15525 - 84 Avenue NW in Edmonton). 20 different vendors to shop from, free admission and a free draw for a Valentine's gift basket. Hope to see you there!
