Longing for a change...

Sitting in the plus 30 C heat of my backyard as my 3 year old splashes in the pool, I know we are on borrowed time for summer weather. It should be cool and crisp outside, not hot. I'm done with summer. Every ounce of me longs for winter so I can hole up in my corner and sew. Is that so wrong? If there was an easy way to haul my sewing machine and all it's accessories outside, so I can do something productive, I would! I know Starbucks thinks it's fall with their festive drink specials, and Costco thinks it's Christmas - anyone for wrapping paper? But the weather forecast says it's still summer. I feel bad for all those that love the outdoors and the heat but are stuck inside on such a nice day. I personally love the "indoors" in summer - air conditioning and no bugs - what's not to love? ;)
